PC Anywhere Software - Security Issue.

PMR systems often use remote access software to connect to, update, diagnose and fix issues with PC systems installed in pharmacies.

One of the most popular systems is PC Anywhere from Symantec. This has been used by other PMR providers in the past to access pharmacy PCs. Symantec announced yesterday that they have discovered a major security issue which could potentially allow access to data on certain computers.

pharmaSys would like to reassure our clients that we do not, and have not used PC Anyway at any of our sites, however, your previous PMR provider may have done and the software may still be on your computers. We would suggest its removal in line with the recommendation from Symantec.
